The LORD bless you and keep you!
The LORD let his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you!

We start the New Year with blessing, the Aarons’s blessing in the first reading.
Because Our Saviour, the Alpha and Omega, beginning and end,
will go with us throughout the year.
He who became one of us as a little child,
who died for us on the cross,
and nourishes us with his body in the Eucharist.
