In 1943 twelve Sisters, most of them under 30, started a new community taking over a school founded in 1919. Of such a new foundation we can only dream nowadays. As time went by, the flourishing Education and Missionary center declined and had to be closed in 2012.
Why do we then celebrate 80th jubilee? As a response to the signs of the time with Sisters growing old and older, the house was transformed into a pleasant home for the aging Sisters. Some of the foundresses lived here in their later days. The last of them was Sr. Ursula Worringen, youngest member of the foundation, who died last September 2022.
In a sisterly celebration on February 10 with M. Madalena and Sisters from the Priory House and Community Imaculado, we thanked the Lord for all Sisters who were and are part of this history, for all that has passed and also for the future because although the work has changed, the mission to welcome, to protect, to care, to love continues.
