On March 19, the Generalate and the Casa community gathered for a heartfelt ceremony to celebrate life, growth, and renewal through a Tree Planting Event. Reflecting on the symbolic importance of trees, participants expressed gratitude for the beauty of creation and pledged their commitment to caring for the earth.
The ceremony featured prayers, scripture readings, and blessings for the seedlings and the land. A passage from Genesis 2:8-9 served as a poignant reminder of the sacredness of nature: “The Lord God planted a garden in Eden and there he put the human being whom he had formed. Out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food.“

Led by M. Rosann, the blessing emphasized the hope that these trees would grow strong, offering shelter and sustenance for generations to come. Members of the Generalate planted olive trees, while Junior Sisters participating in IJP 2025 planted fruit trees as acts of love and dedication to environmental restoration. This embodied the powerful message of Psalm 24:1: “The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it.”

The service concluded with a shared prayer, urging all to embrace their role as stewards of the planet. This inspiring event not only planted trees but also sowed seeds of hope and commitment for a sustainable future.
