Annual Oblates’ Recollection and Renewal of Oblation
The Annual Recollection Day of the Oblates and Oblate Candidates of St. Benedict was held at St. Mary’s Hall of the Priory House on 12 November 2022. The Facilitators, Sr. Augusta and Sr. Oranna, spoke about the qualities of a Benedictine Oblate and the 12 Steps of Humility from the Rule of St. Benedict.
The Renewal of Oblation of the 11 Oblates was integrated at Midday Prayer of the Sisters. I was glad to see them renewing their oblation for two years, receiving their medals and offering themselves to God.
Oblates and Candidates go on an outing in Döbra
On the 19th of November 2022, the Oblates and Candidates together with the Oblates’ Formation Team had an excellent fun time with each other by spending some quality time at Döbra. This was great, as the group used this time to catch up with one another and reminisce about the old days through activities such as mountain hiking, and visiting and praying at the grave of former Oblates’ President Mrs. Hertha Nashenda, the departed missionaries and families at Döbra cemetery.
