September 1 was the World Day of Care for Creation and, also, the feast day of our dear Mother Ruth Bartonico, OSB. We, first of all, thank God for the good health of M. Ruth whose feastday we couldn’t celebrate the previous year because she got seriously ill with COVID. The day was special for her; she called it a celebration of her Resurrection Day. The entire Priory of Peramiho was very happy to celebrate this feastday, because in M. Ruth we have witnessed a living testimony of God’s Divine providence and healing.
During the offertory a tree was offered for blessing. This, later on, was planted by Mother Ruth, to mark the World’s Day of Care for Creation.
She was very grateful for the initiative to include tree planting in the celebration to commemorate the World Day of Care for Creation.
