From 14 to 16 June, the Bulgarian National Youth Congress was held in the monastery of our sisters in Zarevbrod.
The theme of the meeting was “The Way of Hope”.
On Friday, the first groups of young people from different parishes of the three Catholic dioceses in Bulgaria began to arrive at the monastery. The groups registered and settled in the designated places – in the guest house and in tents in the courtyard of the monastery.
The military had helped to pitch the tents.
Loud noise, music and laughter filled our courtyard.
After dinner, the meeting was opened by Mons. Rumen Stanev – Auxiliary Bishop of the Sofia – Plovdiv Diocese and responsible for the youth in the Episcopal Conference.
He greeted the young people with “Welcome” to the national meeting, announced the upcoming events and the program for Saturday.
Mons. Rumen Stanev presented the youth with extensive information about the Jubilee 2025 in Rome.
The day ended with an evening by the fire
and evening prayer.
On the following day the group walked the “way of hope” in Shumen,
reflecting on their hope and what hinders them to live it.

to multiply our hope by sharing it.
