Through the dedicated commitment of Board Members and generous donors, the funds were raised to construct a new elementary school to replace the “third-generaton building” constructed in the 1950’s
for purposes other than a school. On this very hill in 1907, St. Katherine Drexel,
Foundress of the Sisters for the Educaton of Colored and Natve Children, had opened
the “first school” at the request of the Winnebago people.
In May 2023, a new school building was blessed, the “fourth-generation school”.
As now the new school year began, students, staff, and teachers are truly appreciative and thankful for this building.
