On January 15, we celebrate the feast day of Saints Maur and Placid,
who were young disciples of St. Benedict. Thus it became the feast of Benedictine formandees, of young men and women preparing to become Benedictines.
As our Prioress General is named M. Maoro after St. Maur,
it is her feast day and of the whole Congregation.
She is presently in Daegu / Korea for visitation,
Thus the formandees there were privileged to celebrate with her physical presence.
Other formandees collected their congratulations online and through the help of Manila Priory published a movie.
We thank M. Maoro for her tireless prayer and work for the community
and the whole of the Congregation.
Dear Mother Maoro, Happy day. many thanks.
Me.Maoro, Mrs. was the motivation for using technology to engage all the trainees of the Congregation, with such beautiful and diverse bodily and cultural expressions. A rich expression of our interculturality, in this beautiful synodal movement. Long live all our trainees!
