Let us all rejoice in the Lord,
for our Savior has been born in the world.
Today true peace has come down to us from heaven.
(Entrance Antiphon)
We celebrate the coming of Our Savior
through community celebrations and
the liturgy in the chapel.
In the community room we listen to the letter of our Prioress General
and are united through it to all sisters of our Congregation around the world.
We sing together Christmas carols to express our joy and gratitude.
In the night we celebrate vigil with sung readings from the book of the prophet Isaiah,
who prophesied that the people sitting in darkness would see a great light.
We listen to the genealogy of Jesus, telling us that He came into this world
with all its human fragility and messiness.
During the night mass we meditate this mystery,
God the All-Powerful
became a little baby
to be with us
and save us…
We are called to spread the glad tidings especially among those,
who are sitting in darkness.
As our small contribution we pack little gifts for the patients
of the nearby clinic.
May the light of Christmas shine forth in our world,
give hope to those who are despaired,
joy to those who are sad,
love and closeness to those who are lonely!
May the light of Christmas shine forth
on the roads of our every-day life!
