Argentina was originally an attractive and liveable country, but for around 20 years it has been suffering from a massive economic and institutional decline, which has had a very negative impact on the standard of living and education and has furthered the loss of values in society. Half of the population lives below the official poverty level. Many can no longer pay their rents and live on the streets. With the help of volunteers, our sisters in Argentina offer breakfast and a warm evening meal every week on a public street to around 120 homeless men and women. In the cold season, we also distribute blankets, socks, gloves and hygiene articles as required. With financial support of 80 euros, we can continue to maintain this project.
