Advent is the time of waiting for the Lord,
the Lord, who is Light,
in the darkness of this world.
For first vespers of the first Sunday of Advent
the sisters entered the dark winter chapel
following the first light of the Advent wrath.
Through our common prayer, singing psalms and hymns
to the Lord, our God,
we prepare ourselves and the World for His coming.
During evening recreation we received our “prayer partner”,
the name of another sister of our community,
for whom we shall pray during this time.
Praying for each other and the whole world
shall help us to
“united by the Spirit of love
and a common vision
walk the way of faith.”
