On September 8, four sisters made their first profession in Nairobi Priory. They are Anastacia Cherono, who is now Sr. Antoinette Marie, OSB, Elizabeth Odhiambo, who is now Sr. Mary Elizabeth, OSB, Furaha Mukandirwa, who is now Sr. Mary Claudia, ISB, and Neige Maombi Vahereni, who is now Sr. Maria Faustina, OSB.
After prioress Sr. Rosa Pascal gave to them their profession card…
One by one read it aloud promising to follow Christ in religious community,
to persevere in the Congregation and to live in obedience.
The profession card is signed by the sisters, the celebrant and prioress Sr. Rosa.
They sing together the Suscipe – Uphold me Lord,
the prayer that God may uphold them during their life
and not disappoint their hope.
They receive the white habit and the new name
as Missionary Benedictine Sisters.
