Going together to Bethlehem
Christmas 2021
As every year on Christmas we are called also this year to come over to Bethlehem in order to become witnesses of the mystery of incarnation, of God becoming a little child.
What we celebrate is not only an event of the past as any birthday,
but a mystery which is true in the here and now.
By celebrating together, singing the songs, hearing the readings, sharing light and gifts
we ourselves become part of the mystery.
God is to be found in the small and little,
weak and humble,
in the ordinary.
Let us go to Bethlehem
and see the Word made Flesh!
Let us go the way together – in synodality!
