From December 4 to 11, the Casa community had their annual retreat directed by Fr. David Glenday, a Comboni missionary, former superior general of the Congregation and general secretary of the Union of Superiors General.
He started by telling us following Lk 8:16-22 that what happened to the disciples, who stayed with Jesus, would also happen to us, when spending time with Jesus. There would grow
a new quality of listening
a new quality of relationship, Jesus’ family
a new quality of mission – ending up in the boat going to the other side.

Truly, it is what happened to us, as Fr. Glenday inspired us skilfully with his profound and down to earth reflections to spend time with Jesus in honesty and simplicity.

We are grateful to God and to Fr. David Glenday for the days spent and the graces received,
not for us, but for mission.

We ended our retreat very fittingly on Gaudete Sunday,
rejoicing as we have experienced that the Lord is near.
